I started watching at the same time as you. She almost shook her hand and then had a change of heart! Isabelle was a bit obnoxious with her screaming at every point she won though

I watched most of the match, but with no sound.

So I've no idea about her screams, but i didn't see anything to warrant her not shaking hands

The German girl was obviously really cross about the last ball that she thought was out - but why would you blame isa for that and not the umpire?

Ranah's match tomorrow has been promoted to an outside show court (18) - third on. Hannah is first on 5, with the other British matches split between courts 5,6 and 7

I didn't see the last three games but I watched the earlier part of the match, and to be honest the German girl was cheering when she won important points too. They were both cheering themselves on but they weren't getting in each other's faces or screaming during points like some players seem to get away with.

I don't blame someone for being excited in winning their first junior Grand Slam main draw match in front of their home crowd. It's poor form to not shake hands and it sounds like being a poor loser.

Anyway I'd rather focus on how well the girls did today. I think they were all playing higher ranked players (Talia beating the highest ranked, at 32j so it's a great effort to get four of them through with six still to play.

Looking forward to seeing Hannah live at last.

Great start from Sofia Johnson. 4-1 up against the wunderkind Mboko, who's got a CH JWR of 11 at only 15. Come on Sofia!

Sofia has started really well, although there's a shocking lack of first serves (anything to do with all the strapping on her shoulder?)

I've seen Mboko plays a couple of times now - she's got a powerful hit, but doesn't move that well

Hannah was quickly 0-2 down but seems to have settled and is now playing far better

Hannah playing very nicely - matching her opponent for power and showing some nice flair on occasion too. Very lovely drop volley in this game, but drops her serve to go 2-4* down. I think just being forced into uncomfortable positions on the court more than anything.

Sofia takes the first set 6-3

The second half of that set was far, far closer - Sofia was a tad lucky not to be broken back

But she played very well - fingers crossed she can keep it up

Hannah's match is a good level match - Li has a good all-round game - nice overheads and net play and good acceleration when she wants

Yup, Li has taken the first set 6-3 - but it was pretty evenly matched. Hannah had a BP in the last game of that set, and really should've challenged a dodgy looking baseline ball on that BP. But overall her opponent a bit more brave on the big points.

Yes, I thought that call was wrong - but they don't have hawkeye, no?

Mneawhile, Sofia's serve has really let her down

8 double faults and STILL under 50% for her first serve percentage

Ahh possibly that's it. I assumed they did as they have the little tennis ball graphics under the names on the scoreboard for the number of challenges, but there've been none at all so it seems unlikely.

Hannah struggling to stay in this now - 3-6 0-1* down.
