Mili Poljicak spent Saturday evening in the box of his compatriots Pavic/Mektic, which may have contributed to his slow start. Michael served for the first set at 5-3 but played a couple of poor games, so it went to a breaker taken comfortably by Mili. The second set also went to a breaker taken by Mili. Mili has some of the rudiments for transition to the pro game (and is already around 550 ATP) with regular first serves in the 120s (mph) and some explosive groundies. However he has a lot of maturing to do, with questionable on-court behaviour and some poor shot selections (at times he seemed to be determined to beat Ons Jabeur's record for number of drop shots in a final, and though some were sublime others looked foolish). Michael has excellent movement and a more equable temperament but needs to add some weight to his shots to make major progress in the pros
