No sign of the under 18 doubles result, but if successful they would have to play second seeds Hungary (who include Wimbledon finalist Luca Udvardy) to qualify. The under 16s also play Greece tomorrow and must win to reach the European finals
A disaster for our under 16 girls playing a team with relatively modest success in ITF events. The under 18s did win their doubles but lost today to Hungary, so neither team will qualify for the finals

Boys seem to have fared better. 18s boys included Phoenix & Luca who also did the European summer championships but the girls were missing ranah, ella and talia. 16s I was surprised to see no Hephzibah or Hannah K even.

Hannah wasn't available as she has been selected for the World Juniors U14, which clash. Hep is of course in South Africa, but I don't know whether the LTA thought that best for Hep's development, given the team of Mimi, Isabelle and Ruby was strong enough on paper to qualify, or whether it was her own decision.
Today the under 16s defeated Ukraine 2-1 (singles wins for Mimi and Isabelle) to finish third in their group but the under 18s lost 3-0 to Portugal (near 3 hour defeats for Given/Sarah) to finish fourth in their group
The under 12s started their finals today in a round robin group of 4 with Austria, Slovakia and Italy It didn't start well though - three straight sets defeats to Austria for Megan Knight, Sevil Parviz and the doubles combination of Megan and Annabel Wong
After a 2-1 defeat to Slovakia yesterday (a consolation doubles win) the under 12x have finally managed a win in their group to avoid finishing bottom. Straight sets wins from Megan and Annabel earned victory over Italy.
The under 12s finished 5th after a 2-1 win over Croatia (3 set defeat by Annabel followed by a straights sets win for Sevil and a match tiebreak victory in doubles for Megan and Sevil
