I was wondering why they put uncompleted matches on second, surely the players would want to just get out there and get it over and done with so that the winner can rest up for their next match.
Because they have to cool down, eat etc after their match so potentially won't get to bed till gone 11 then have to prepare in the morning
I had the same question elsewhere - I guess that makes sense!

Presumably it's for the players benefit, they are essentially playing 2 shorter matches in close succession with all the post-match wind down, and pre-match preparation thrown in, and the bulk of the time between is out of hours, so pre-match practise court for warm up, and services like raquet stringing, medical, etc. might not be as available before the match resumes (were it first on).
Neither did I say that someone had, suggested that. Don't you think the likes of Tan, or Maserova today (who could hardly keep the ball in court), or Korpatsch would have provided an easier challenge?
Apparently Korpatsch was very angry when Tan pulled out of their doubles after her Serena victory. Lashed out on social media. Called her unprofessional- although other ex players have had a go back at Korpatsch for airing it in public
Korpatsch played some good tennis in the evening session of her match vs. Watson, it was quite an entertaining match to watch. I didn't catch the match when it resumed. I can understand Korpatsch getting annoyed with Tan, it's probably cost her financially, and she was probably hoping for the experience of a few more matches at Wimbledon, having signed up for both the singles and doubles. There is a responsibility towards the other playing partner in tennis doubles, and a player should honour commitments, if possible.
Yay! Third match point does the trick, too defensive on the first, a lucky net cord for Wang on the second, third she does well to get the return back and Wang snatches another forehand.
Either way for Heather, considering her results recently, 3rd round at Wimbleodn is a fantastic achievement... I hope this sparks some inspiration in her for the next year, to give the (probably) last section of her career a really good go as she's capable of much more. A 4th round here would be phenomenal
