Not for either belting the ball incident ( well the first one wasn't a particular belt though lucky it actually didn't directly hit anyone ).
John Lloyd increasingly losing it, on Tsitsipas's behalf as against Kyrgios's antics, has been rather amusing.

Interesting how different the BBC TV slant was from the BBC Radio coverage.
With the TV coverage Lloyd in particular went on about how Kyrgios should have been defaulted for his language - bit strongly and repetitive by Lloyd to the extent it seemed to me to be personal. Whereas in the radio coverage Clijsters and Tarango didn't go down that line but were very much that Tsitsipas should probably have been defaulted for hitting folk in the crowd, even if not a direct hit, and was lucky to be still out there.
One thing I didn't quite appreciate until catching up was just how often Tsitsipas tried to hit Kyrgios with the ball. Perfectly legal when in play of course but a pretty nasty streak and really turned the crowd more against him.
Pompous, repetitive, without any analysis - and VERY self-righteous - after all, who is he to basically say that the umpire is wrong?
I thought the umpire did an excellent job - it was NOT easy - and he managed (just) to keep the match under control, to the end, without making it into a 'scandal', allowing an extremely high level of tennis to shine, and amuse the crowd.
Basically, if the umpire could turn a deaf ear to one 'f***' word, and thought warnings were adequate for the balls into the crowd, maybe Lloyd should consider that the umpire knows better than him and pipe down?
(And, yes, Tsitsipas was being pretty antagonistic, very personal to K with his ball-striking, and firing them at the crowd, whereas Nick was being ultra loud-mouthed bolchy (query spelling) to the umpire, but nothing against Stef directly)
My issue with Kyrgios is the utter contempt he treats the staff, this is where the umpire and the tournament fail in my opinion. Linesmen/women and ballboys and girls should not be treated or spoken to the way Kyrgios does and the tournament has a duty of care to them. His attitude towards the lineswoman in Rd2 was the nail for me. Then the complaining about the lack of towels and bananas last night then dropping his banana skin on the floor, just appallingly entitled behaviour. If I was the umpire I would have treated him like the child he is and told him to pick his **** up and dispose of it himself.

Totally agree with you. Kyrgios sets a very bad example. Just cannot warm to him. Sorry but not entertainment for me and Wimbledon and tennis in general needs to stamp down hard on the way linesmen/women and ball boys and girls are treated and spoken to. Passions may run high at times in a match but still no need for ignorance and bad manners. I for one certainly hope that Kyrgios does not go on to win the tournament.
People need to learn respect. Now who was that chap that previously talked about disrespect in his press conference ( while eating a meal )? Ah, that would have been Kyrgios. That was farcical on a number of levels.
The perfect punishment for his behaviour would be for no linesman or ball kids to work at his end. Would be hilarious watching him deal with it. The humiliation of having to pick up his own tennis balls, no linesman to complain about and all his own fault.

It would be interesting to have hawkeye monitoring his line calls.

Nah he can rely on the umpire and still only get 3 challenges , he'd soon be crying.
