Weeks 26 and 27 - The Championships, Wimbledon (grass) - men's singles

Best tennis overall Ive seen so far. De Minaur isnt a big chap but hits hard as well.

When you see this you start to wonder if Andy is going to get left behind soon!

Alex de Minaur raised it a level for the tie break and Jack couldn't go with him - maybe a bit of nerves kicked in.

As he is now, and I'm afraid potentially going forward, not unlikely  But Andy at his best would have sorted out these young men for a while yet.

Anyway, err not a bad TB from ADM.

At least Jack didn't really have anything much in the way of what if there. All credit ADM.

Unsurprisingly Jack's confidence looks like it's taken a bad knock.

I must admit I'd have said surprisingly if he has lost confidence, given the simply too good TB rather than that much Jack did wrong. It was move on, best of the next 3 sets, time.

I've nabbed a seat on 1. AdM playing out if his skin.

Jack needs to borrow some of Liam Brady's resilience right now.

A bit one-dimensional maybe, but young Mr Draper does fetch the ball a mighty belt.

 In what way?

 Mostly forwards.

Not sure if Jack can change the direction of this match after losing the 3rd set 6-2. He was completely outplayed in that set.

I think the match against Isner yesterday showed that he already has been left behind. His game is the same, but his reactions are just that half a gnat's whisker slower: If Isner can serve past him (something he could never achieve before) I fear that the young 'uns may have him too.

I think he is still a very good top 50, maybe a top 20, but he isn't able to play in the top 10 any more.

The main two courts are released now, about 2 hours ago. The other courts are probably more complex as quite a few games were suspended tonight

That young whippersnapper I first saw in Murcia playing Futures is quite good, isn't he ?
