Paul takes it to a 5th set. So careless the last few points of the TB by Kyrgios

He doesn't take the game seriously.

I think it's all a facade. So if he loses he always has the 'I didn't really care' or 'I didn't try' excuse. Just an entitled brat - always happy when he loses. Paul playing some nice tennis though.

Who knows, I don't mind Nick although there are times where I wish he'd shut it (same as Dan) but I think the problem is that he doesn't love Tennis, it's just his job and his playing up is what makes it bearable and interesting enough to him to keep his job.  If he loved Tennis he'd be a GS champ by now because whatever you think of him personally, there is no question that he is an exceptionally talented player when he wants.  (Like Dan I suspect he may be on the spectrum, not sure if or what type of medication ADHD players are allowed, obviously some cos Coco Guaff takes it I think!)

Does Dan have ADHD or anything else that is known?

This has got to give Paul some confidence. Staying with Kyrgios despite the circus is still an achievement, even if Kyrgios isn't always playing his best tennis.

Kyrgios looks as though he's wearing a school monitor's bib over his shirt!  Is he feeling cold?

It's just a suspicion I have, he may not, I don't know and to be honest it's probably none of our business but when I see players like him and Nick chuntering away and having a propensity to go missing in matches, I wonder if there is something else going on.

I don't know. He thought he was a god like figure when he won the Aussie Open doubles, think he was even suggesting it was more impressive than Barty's win. The delusion!!

What a shame.  Paul almost on the brink of doing something a bit special.  hmm   Brilliant effort, though.    He could do worse than seek out Todd Woodbridge for a few tips on how to improve his game.

Paul - what a fantastic job today. Had the poorest chance of making it through - and nearly snatched it from Nick. Well done!

Such a shame for Paul, it was honestly all down to a few points. But some really impressive play, great athleticism, lovely groundstrokes, decent(ish) serve. Hopefully this performance gives him confidence to push on, as the game is there. Very exciting stuff.

Jack D takes the opening set off Bergs. Possible banana skin opponent , good to see Jack on top.
