presumably this was a normal tie break as opposed to an MTB?

Just for clarity - for me a MTB is 10 point tie break, played to decide a match, either at 6 all final set or instead of a final set. I think both those get called MTB's

An ordinary tie break to 7 points is played any set in a match of course, and is just a TB. Or would you call an ordinary 7 point tie break in the final set an MTB?

It probably doesnt matter, just want to check what it actually was they played!!

And well done again to Billy

BTW! Billy is no longer the second highest ranked player to not play a Challenger match, nor indeed the same to not win a Challenger match - monkey off back!

Felix has also got himself off the not played a Challenger list

However, the list of highest ranked players to not play a challenger now reads:

Charlie Broom - 3rd highest
Jack PJ - 6h
Stuart Parker - 8th

And Felix is still 6th on the not won a Challenger match list.

And Ryan is 6th on the not won a Challenger or ATP title list

Told Billy a couple of days back

  • 15k - Tick
  • 25k - Tick

Now on to Challenger.

Then just

  • ATP
  • Masters
  • Slam

to go.

He said - "Stepping stones Bob. Getting there slowly".

Ha excellent Bob. Impressive win earlier was a tight old match. Also considering he has just changed playing surface. Having gone all the way last week. Looks like hell get tomorrow off before going again Thursday.

Managed to serve for the set but had to fight off two break points. Playing some good stuff from what I've seen. Good to see him back on the clay think it's his best surface.
