The capitalise argument works for adults - they need the points, there's less time, they have a better understanding of their bodies, their mental state etc.

I see no reason a 14 year-old needs to play as much competitive tennis as Mimi has played this month - as said, that energy should be put on the training ground.

 Yes, indeed - I assume that she wasn't dragged screaming by her hair 

But 14 year-olds do not always get their way. At least, not in my house 

(And some things are a question of discussion i.e. her opinion counts but so do her coach and her parents' view)

Freya lost the first set 5-7

Yeah, I saw her average odds opened around 3.5 or 5/2, and came in slightly over the past 24 hours or so, and nearer 2/1, or a 3.08 average, but I didn't put anything on it.

 

I guess on paper, a younger, former top 200 player, someone who has concentrated fully on tennis losing isn't ideal, but the way her past couple of years have gone, I didn't think there was much in it, plus that's a nice win for Emma who continues to be steady away at these type of events.
