 Didn't she lose the first set to Talia in Birmingham as well? I think she just takes a while to get into top gear sometimes.

Very close for Freya - she lost the first set 4-6, broken right at the end, couple of nervy points, missed her slice by a fraction, not great but - TBH - better than she's often been recently (mind you, I don't rate Alice R much either really)

Yeah Eden seems to just be quietly getting on, doing her thing, making some nice (overdue) progress.

It's such a shame really what happened to Beth. All these 25ks in the form she was in she really could have kept motoring up. Hopefully she is healthy enough to get back soon.

 This is the list of wins for our women in the April/May ITF events: as of today (Eden's last 16 included, Emma and Sonay not included as they haven't played yet). Eden is streaks ahead in this little list
