Would be great to have a Hep vs Xu SF.

Just to note the doubles (as doubles has points that matter, when you get to J2 level, and a J2 title is a big thing, whatever)

The boys have the doubles wrapped up

We're at QF stage and 7 of the 8 teams are all-GB

However, the girls is the exact opposite.

Only 2 out of 8 teams are GB

Well, the boys have eliminated the final 'pesky' interloper

All Gb from now on

Relatively easy wins in two sets for everyone:

Phoenix Weir def Luca
Pat Brady def. Ben G wan
Will Jansen def. US boy
Louis def Hugo C

Phoenix beating Luca suggests Phoenix has his mojo back, or maybe Luca is tired after his U18 Nationals exploits??

Interesting to see how the lads get on in the semis, Pat Brady didnt play Nationals did he?

Is Matt Rankin above this level, we didnt see him in Nationals or here, is he playing higher level events?

I wouldn't have thought Luca was still tired from the U18.

Unlike Mimi, Hep, Ruby, Isabelle (and Hannah), say, he didn't play the U16 the week after.

Now, those girls may have a right to still be tired - but I don't think Luca

Phoenix retired in the nationals and was obviously having an issue before that so, yes, fingers crossed he's truly recovered now.

No, Brady and Rankin didn't play - don't know why not, as such.

Just to confirm the boys' semis:

Phoenix Weir (2005) v Patrick Brady (2004)
Will Jansen (2004) v Louis Bowden (2004)

for no other reason than he is the youngest, I like his name, and CD likes him, I hope Phoenix goes onto win this!!

 Thanks Jon

I'm going for Will v Phoenix in the final. And, yes, if he's completely better, then Phoenix to win it. Not so sure about that though....

As paulisi highlights, though, it's big points for all of them, whatever happens. (And that's without doubles points too).

Doing a quick tally up, Patrick Brady could go GB #1 and top 100 with a following wind; not sure if the others can make it from this week?

Jon - don't forget doubles points to be added. Only 25%, but could be a significant impact

And we've done it !!!!!!!

All four semi-finalists are our GB girls

Hep beat the second seed in three

Isabelle through easily

Mimi won when her opponents retired (although in the second set)

And Sarah Tatu won in two

Brilliant job, girls !
