Ive been out and sadly cant watch but I am surprised this doesnt seem a very popular event on here - Davis Cup is still Davis Cup regardless of format or arent folks generally interested?

Really can't be arsed.  New format not working, IMHO.  no

 Yes, zero interest from me

No idea who's playing, or how or why...

But others may well be enjoying it....

I normally prefer watching women's events but team events are great. Plus I think the new DC format is excellent!

It's nearly as good as the original format..

Maybe...but the problem with the old format is that the top players weren't taking part. Most are this year.

I think the top players were always available for the semi's and final under the old format. It was the early rounds some of them missed but that was a good leveller I thought. Anyway it is what it is and I'm glad the organisers have gone backwards from the 'tennis needs a WC all in one venue' Idea, they quite missed the point.

Like the Dutch fans in their Orange suits, and like the gesture of the black armbands they are wearing

3-4 and Joe to serve

If Leon did let Andy select himself, and didnt really believe, then he needs to look at himself very hard. 0-30

0/40 with a double fault.

And a break

Andy netted, then a great return. Joe double faulted and Andy missed a volley

Aaghhh

Im afraid Mr Smith got that very, very wrong.

Hindsight wonderful of course, and Joes service game at the end was poor. But they had SO many chances!

The Dutch won 10 straight points to win that.

That is so disappointing. Cam losing didnt help and nor did Evo on day two, but we need to look at Andy and Leon here and ask them questions.

Neal must be gutted.

With our squad we should be in those finals. Not playing a dead
Match on Sunday with Kazakhstan. Cant see our guys putting their hands up for that match !

Exactly. Leon has probably the cushiest job in tennis right now and that was spineless selection on both days

I think that's the last we'll see of AM on DC duty as a player. I'm sure he knows his limitations and is gracious to recognise that he must move over. I do agree with you Leon should have given Neal a fair crack of the whip. It really Isn't very fair now to throw him into the Kazak tie but he will. I can't see AM playing in the ATP for GB either after that.
