First quali results in, with a win for Joe Mazingham, our U14 national champion (although, despite beating Ben Wan, Ben may still be rated more favourably).
Alex Okonkwo (Oliver's younger brother) beat the 4th seed, 0 & 1 (always liked Oliver, hope he's liking US college, don't know the little bro' but I watch out for him too, just on the back of Oli)
So we'll have 5 or 6 in the last 16, which is not enormous but let's see....
(No Talia, or Isabelle, or several other top players here, which is slightly strange - others will probably know that they're doing something more important instead...)

Talia, Isabelle, Mimi and Ella are at the J2 in Santo Domingo
Thanks ! I saw David's post yesterday but that was only about Ranah - the others had passed me by...
Mind you, that's a lot of air miles just for a J2 rather than a J3
Nice for the other girls, though, I guess...
Back to back J2s as against back to back J3s.
Yes I would think very strange for just one Dominican Republic J2 but I guess two weeks J2 competition in the Dominican Republic along with coaches doing good work there with them ( as opposed to being on a jolly ) makes some sense.

There is a big difference in points between G2 and G3 and they will virtually all boost their rankings with a round 1 win.
Good choice as I suspect the girls, in particular, will be playing G1 and GS soon enough.
