I also had Doris Hart on mine but a lot higher at 22nd. I havent read the narrative yet, but wherever she is placed , she is one of the all time greats !
No I had her higher at no.22., Similarly I had Stefan Edberg at 36. Certainly getting them all now even if we rate them differently. I had to do yesterday's comment in a hurry and it should have been in 2 sentences.

Yep, I am guessing the next 39 or so players will be more or less aligned to what we have predicted, certainly in terms of who the players are if not their rating.
Edberg was the player I probably most based my game on when I played a lot as player in my 20's. I loved his serve, it was for me the one I tried to copy time and time again, and his volleys surpassed anyones of that era and maybe since. I was not really a fan as such, I was drawn to the bigger personalities like Boris, or prior to that McEnroe and subsequently Agassi. But as a gamestyle, Edberg's was the one that I probably admired the most.
Interesting in retrospect that Edberg beat Wilander in this rating table. Big question now is where Becker will be, on tennis alone he will be in the next few posted. Will external factors influence his rating

Hopefully not. I am most interested in an on-court assessment

No, Im sure it is largely on court - Jeff wrote that in some ties on his scoring system he has used doubles to break the tie, and in one or two cases moved players based on their off court achievements. Which doesnt feel like anyone has moved down for being a naughty boy off court !
