So Id never heard of this guy - played in the 20s and 30s as a pro , when everyone was an amateur, except the very best who had turned pro and club paid coaches who couldnt play amateur events. Kozeluh was the latter and became the former.

Its a fascinating read and Jeff Sackmann admits he disregarded the algorithm to show horn this guy in. Enjoy the read, I did .

Martina Navratilova won her first Wimbledon in 1978 and along with Steffi Graf and the Williams sisters this quartet have all been multiple Wimbledon ladies singles champions since 1978. It is interesting to note that Petra is the only other player to have won the Wimbledon ladies singles more than once since 1978. (Chris Evert and Evonne Goolagong whilst both winning more than one Wimbledon have each only won it once since 1978) There are active players who have won it just once but potentially they do not look likely to win it again.
