RE: Queens

Doubles:

GROSJEAN, Sebastien (FRA) / MURRAY, Andy (GBR) vs GOLDSTEIN, Paul (USA) / THOMAS, Jim (USA)

LOPEZ, Feliciano (ESP) / NADAL, Rafael (ESP) vs (WC)AUCKLAND, James (GBR) / DELGADO, Jamie (GBR)

I can't believe that Colin Fleming and Jamie Murray haven't been given a wc. They're our premier doubles partnership and they need to be given the chance to compete against top 100 pairings. I fully support the decision to give Auckland and Delgado a wc but the other wc has gone to Blake and Fish !!! Why !!!

It's so typical that we're the only stupid country not to support its own rising players. If GB tournaments don't support upcoming players then who will !

It's like last year when Queens didn't give the Barker brothers wcs despite the fact that they were Britain's top doubles partnership at that time and had just won Surbiton.

Queens has fallen right, right down in my estimation this summer. The tournament directors all need to be given a good kick up the arse and if I wasn't stuck with A level exams this summer I'd give it to them. Then after the kicking they should all be fired and replaced with guys who actually know something and care about British tennis.

Something like this happened to Bloomers in Washington I think.

Yes, it was quite weird, Bloomers got a bye through rd1 and through to rd2 as a lucky loser and although he lost in rd2 he only got the points for a rd1 loser.

Thats the rule I believe. Byes dont get you extra points unless you follow it with a win.

I think Murray and Seb could go far, both good players and decent at the net. I can easily see the All Brit paring beating the spaniards and Nadal playing doubles on grass don't make me laugh.

Can't say as I'm surprised. There are two many people in British tennis who don't give a damn about our younger players. Too many people would rather watch a couple of American's than a couple of British kids who they have never heard of.
