With Les Petits being usually so early in the year and the U14 Orange Bowl being late, I assume both being for players turning no later than 14 in the year, would by their actual birthdays Les Petits really be generally more an U14 competition and the 'U14 Otange Bowl' more an U15 by competitipn with the same players then about 10 months older?
Yes, fair point, 11 months can make a big difference.
Hannah's lost the first set 3-6
The other girl has a very particular style, takes so many balls as practically half volleys, off her feet, very wide stance, great timing (rather Djoko like at times) But also comes in a lot, including a lot 'a contre temps' (whatever that is, when you wait till it bounces and then 'sneak' in, rather than doing an approach shot). Her serve is a nightmare but she plays the next shot well.
Will be good for Hannah to have a fight on her hands...
A pity she didn't take that break point to go a double break up but I didn't think it would unravel quite so quickly after that. She has now lost 6 games in a row to go down an early break in the 2nd. It'll have been a great week for her whatever happens here (and she's still got another year to win the title!) but it'll be interesting to see whether she can mount a comeback.

Yes, a little frazzled that what she normally does wasn't enough, didn't quite know what to do instead, and then the tension makes even your normal stuff go a bit AWOL.
Stusek takes the ball so early, it was hard for Hannah to re-set for each shot.
Pleased that she didn't completely crumble in the second, but she was well beaten.
Saw very little of the match, given what was going on elsewhere, but it looked as if Stusek offered a different problem to solve compared to her semifinal at least. I note that Stusek is coached by Melanie Molitor (Martina Hingis's mother who also coached Belinda Bencic), so the early ball strikes and use of angles fits with that.

Really? Oh, interesting - that explains a lot - yes, absolutely, Stusek is very Martina-like in her court positioning and vision of the court.
