Ben Jones - where has this form come from?
Good result in rnd 1 and now well in charge against the seed.

And a really good win for Ben Jones in straight sets.

Billy H is on top versus Julian Cast , set and 4-2 up. And Aidan McHugh a set up on Dan Cox

Think Ben was a student athlete at Bath until last summer, so maybe focusing fall time on the tour now??

Yes, that's what I have down too. I was surprised he lost to Adam Jones recently as I always thought he was the 'better' Jones.

Would be great if he could get in the top 1000 and try and move up to be one of our possible 500 contenders.

Escoffier through; with two guaranteed (Aidan McH v Dan C, Paul J v Ali G), its looking like 6 (assuming Ryan wins) or at a stretch 7 Brits through, if Anton pulls it around

And Ryan wins in 2 sets.

Anton now all square ; Aidan and Adam going at it in the final set still.

Aidan wins in 3 and Anton now pulling ahead. With Paul Jubb and Ali G playing , its looking like 7 of the 8 will be Brits , plus Escoffier of France .

Good stuff , good showing

Hard not to go for Ryan and Aidan to win. The Jan v Paul matchup is a really interesting one and, for me, a toss up. Fancy the French lad in the battle of Antons.

Paul beat Ali G by 6-2 7-6(4)

Ali came back from.being down *2-5 and 3-5* 15-40 ( 2 MPs ) in the second set but Paul prevailed in the TB.
