Those entered that could get into an ITF are more likely to get more money here than in ITFs, there is less expense than travelling abroad, for the winner there is a place in the Masters and a main draw wild card in next years early British ITFs up for grabs. Unless there is an urgent need for ranking points perhaps looking for a bigger payday to tide them over the off season is a higher priority for them?
Freya has already got her place in the Masters (as does Ranah and Alicia Dudeney if she doesn't have college commitments). Ciara Moore, Emma Wilson and Francesca Davis will be looking to defend their top 3 positions in the leaderboard that will get them in the Masters.
Harry Wendelkin, Sean Hodkin and Joshua Paris have places in the Masters with Joseph Newman-Billington, Jordan Reed-Thomas and Michael Shaw likely to join them by topping the leaderboard.

Hi Lambda - how does the Masters work ? I can see the top 10 players below but presumably Ranah is just outside, how many players qualify for the Masters event? We have the UKPL finals week coming up as well in the late November period, which could feature some of the same players and, again, some decent money, players like Anton, Harry W, Eliz, Alice Gillan, Danielle Daley are all in the top of those rankings and could well play in both events and earn some decent monies in that late part of the season. Could well be an attractive route, as opposed to chasing ranking points around the world, I agree
The masters is 8 players in 2 round robin groups of 4 with the top 2 in each going through to the SF. To be invited players need to finish in the top 3 of the leaderboard or be a British player having won a Premier tier event this tour year. In addition there is a discretionary WC. Unused places go to the next on the leaderboard.
Freya, Ranah, Alicia, Harry, Sean and Joshua have all won Premier events so should be invited.

ok, cool that all makes sense, thanks for that link (the lTA like to hide this info away dont they!!)
Prizemoney is shown as
Winner £3,000.00 Runner-Up £1,500.00 Losing semi-finalist £600.00 3 rd in Group £250.00 4 th in Group £150.00
So that is £6500 total per event, £13k in total. Cant recall what the UKPL prizemoney is but it stacks up nicely if players play both.
So based on those winners and the top 3, the summary of qualifiers (as Stresnakova cant play in the Masters, but has won a Premier event?; and presumably Harry W and Ranah's win last December counts to this season?)
Men - Harry Wendelken, Sean Hodkin, Josh Paris, Joseph Newman-Billington, Jordan Reed-Thomas, Michael Shaw, plus the winner of forthcoming Edgbaston Premier and a WC.
Women - Freya Christie, Ranah Stoiber, Alicia Dudeney, Ciara Moore, Emma Wilson, Fran Davis , plus the winner of forthcoming Edgbaston Premier and a WC.
Of those, Harry and Josh are both in the top 9 of the UKPL mens rankings, but none of the womens are at the moment. UKPL also has one event left in the league season, the British Tour has one Premier event, before both then have their respective Finals/Masters (UKPL late Nov, British Tour mid Dec)
The Loughborough Tier 2 event this weekend isn't particulalry interesting for the men (the four round robin winners are: Joe N-Billington, Freddy Blaydes, Adam Hillerby and Barnaby Smith)
However, the women's event is basically an elite girls' tournament (presumably all the girls being at Loughborough academy?) which makes it far more interesting (well, to me)
The four pool winners are:
Given Roach, Daniela Piani, Tegan Bush and Hannah Read
