I was worried that today would be 100% the old guard.
And much as it was lovely to see the old guard come storming through (Andy, Hev, Dan.....), it was great that at least one of our newbies came out with a win too.
Yes, I reckon 4 is about right. Liam and Harriet did really well to come through qualifying and realistically were unlikely to win their R1 matches (unless the "right" NK turned up). To get all five of the others through would have been amazing. So four is good. It could easily have been less!!!

yeah 4 isnt bad - Harriet losing was pretty certain, Liam I think a win would have been a bonus, just Cam as a disappointment really.
Next round, I think all 4 have a decent chance although I dont expect all 4 to win.
That sums it up - as good as could be expected or hoped for, with only off-form Cam missing out.
In all fairness to Cam, I think Korda must be one of the toughest unseeded DAs to face along with the likes of van Zandschulp, he'll be up in the top 30 rankings soon.
