And Andy L scraped through to the final

So we have

Singles - Alfie, Lucy and Andy L in respective semis
Doubles - Alfie/Gordon, Lucy + and Andy + in respective finals

Couldn't have asked for me realistically.

Andy has a big match tomorrow, he plays Dylan Alcott on Kia Arena in his Quads Singles semi.

High profile and match starts midnight our time.

Alfie and Lucy are 2nd and 3rd on Court 7 this evening as well.

Are these matches being shown on Discovery? I've not found them.

Edit. Of course as soon as I'd posted this I tracked them down!

Well done Alfie , winning his semi and playing top seed Kunieda in the final.

Lucy and Andy both lost their singles semis. All 3 plus Gordon in doubles finals though

The doubles finals tomorrow are Lucy at circa 1 am, Alfie 2 am and Andy in the evening at 6.30 am.

I saw an interview with Lucy after her singles win. Shes a T4 paraplegic which is one of the most severe disablements on the tour so she has done extremely well to achieve all she has achieved. I believe T4 is the part of her spine that is broken , Im not very clear , and that is a very significant inhibitor for her.

Lucy lost her doubles final but they fought hard against the top seeds and took it to an MTB. Good effort and good week for Lucy.

Alfie and Gordon on now and at one set all.

Play has been halted for half an hour now in the final at a set all. Is it the heat stopping play? Not clear from the scoreboard.

Stopped at 5-4 in MTB. Looks like a lot of the outside courts have stopped also.

And it gets even better, Andy Lapthorne and his partner David Wagner (USA) win the Quads doubles title!!

10-7 in the MTB, Andy causes an upset there as they were seeded behind the top seeded opponents!!

Great stuff and well done to Andy Lapthorne!!

That is Andy's 6th AO doubles title, 14th slam doubles title in total and his 16th slam title (singles and doubles) overall.

Great career , Andy
