I'm delighted that Maia beat Armani to take the title. Congratulations. To have played 5 matches and won 5 this week would seem to bode well for a successful return to the tour. Hope this is the start of a better year for her.

Marni will presumably be disappointed to miss out in the final but a good week for both players.
They havent updated the league rankings but we have now reached 4 weeks out of 7 with a finals week to also come. The residual events are in august, sept, oct and nov respectively.
So we are very much at a half way summer break.
Id say in the mens, Brandon, Dan and Billy and maybe Luke are qualified for the 9 automatic places in the finals. In the womens, Stresnakova, Marni Banks, Vasilescu and possibly Lukosuite are qualified. With only 7 weeks action , points around 22 should be enough to qualify given the fields are quite spread this year with not many players going all into the series.
Be interesting to see where they play the august event - would be nice to try a northern venue .
Just been catching a few of the tennis brothers YouTube videos. Felix played in week 4. Said that qualifying for the 1/4 finals meant hed earnt at least £700 and then later displayed the prize money for the different positions. So seems like the appearance fee is around £350 now, then the following:
1. 3000
2. 2250
3. 1500
4. 1000
5. 750
6. 500
7. 400
8. 350
9. 200
10. 150
11&12 were not shown so Id guess maybe 100 for 11 and nothing for 12th?

Interesting but that doesnt rally with their website which states :
The UK Pro League is the only domestic league for the top UK Tennis Professionals and is the only place where the group will come together to compete against each other in a season-long competition.
With prize money of £500K, the League provides the opportunity for the UKs best to compete in a purely domestic format.
if 500k is correct, that is 250k men and 250k women. With their being 7 weeks and a final, it suggests 25k-30k per week for the 7 qualifying weeks and perhaps around 50k for the finals.
the numbers above add up to around 14.5k incl appearance fees, which is around 90k over the 7 weeks of qualifiers , plus maybe double for the finals suggesting total prizeMoney of around 125k for each of mens and womens. So half what they publicise.
it is probably true that their website is wrong our outdated - I reckon there was more money last season at each event and perhaps the 500k is taken from last years numbers
There is nearly half a million pounds of prize money this year compared with over half a million last year. There are fewer weeks this year so not a surprise the prize fund has reduced slightly. Last year the prize fund for finals week was £115,000 with each of the winners taking £15,000.
WEEK 5: 29TH AUGUST TO 4TH SEPTEMBER NTC, ROEHAMPTON
WEEK 6: 26TH SEPTEMBER TO 2ND OCTOBER ALDERSHOT TENNIS CENTRE
Anyone remember this?! Starts up again next week in Roehampton. Field not out yet, be interesting to see how this proceeds given all players are back to chasing points around the world. After next week, there is another event as above in late September and then a finals week in the autumn.
id be interested to see what life it has after this season or whether it somehow morphs and merged with something like the British Tour?
It takes you to the ITF 100 website for the Shrewsbury event.
Not sure if this suggests finals week will be in Shrewsbury as well?
That's the page for last years finals week that they haven't taken down or updated - it's been like that all year. Which isn't to say it wont be in Shrewsbury but rather you can't read anything into that page.

Not sure if anyone is still interested in this, lets see where it goes these next few
Months. I suspect it will stop next year or, possibly, merge with the British Tour as a new Elite tier above Premier ?
I'm not certain if it could become a new elite tier. Something will need to change to liven it up as the level of the entrants is steadily getting lower. Josh Parish is the highest ranked man at 1096, and, apart from Beth, the highest ranked woman is Katie S at 878. It was much more competitive at the beginning.
