Maia lost 6-7(5) 7-5 9-11 to Marni, but great that she is finally back, which itself is far more important than this competition, but if she is feeling fine physically then such is the format, she should have no problems advancing to the QF.
Eliz beat Jizel 6-3 6-1
Katie Stres beat Eleanor 6-2 6-1
Kate Mansfield beat Adeola 7-6(2) 4-6 10-4, but the closeness of it is probably not too great a sign generally in terms of future prospects
I watched some of the Marni / Maia match and it was very competitive and closely fought. Shame Maia couldn't quite get the win but I felt she didn't look quite 100% fit and I sense that just getting through the match was a win for her, doubly so if she's fit to play again tomorrow. Wishing her well for the rest of the week.

I guess the fact that she is on the schedule tomorrow is somewhat encouraging because there is generally no competitive logic to their scheduling, so they could have easily given her the day off and had Marni face Soumeya instead, so fingers crossed that's a sign that she's doing well physically.
I see the total fund for this is over half a million. This is great for British tennis, giving younger players the opportunity to earn some money and fund some trips abroad.
I was just about to say looks like another uneventful, predictable day on the women's side, then wow, I just saw the last result, and it's a fair size upset. 6/1 or 7.00 from the odds that I have seen.
Maia beat Souyema 6-1 6-3, so that will be Maia through due to sets won, Souyema will have to beat Marni in straight sets to join her, which isn't very likely.
Katie Stres beat Elizabeth 6-0 6-2 to qualify in 1st place, and it's now between the latter and Eleonar to join her tomorrow
Eliz beat Danielle 6-2 6-4 to qualify, and again, 2nd place will be between the latter and Jizel tomorrow
So no surprises there, but Adeola has just beaten Alice 7-5 6-2 to qualify out of nowhere. I think Alice now has to beat Kate Mansfield in straight sets tomorrow, as even a 2-1 win should see the American through.
It's strange how one surprise result can kind of change the whole landscape (Adeola beating Alice). Eliz topped her group and now plays Alice, where the H2H is 3-2 (all UKPL), whereas Danielle finished 2nd behind Eliz, but now gets to play Adeola who she beat 6-2 6-3 in January with the latter a big 6.60 underdog, so a huge chance for Danielle to make the SF.
Had Alice topped the group, as would have been fully expected, then she would have played Danielle and their H2H is 5-0 Alice (all UKPL), incl 2 straight set wins in February. Eliz vs Alice is kind of like an early SF.
Full women's QF line up:
Katie Stresnakova vs Maia (another match that feels early)
Marni vs Eleanor
Eliz vs Alice
Adeola vs Danielle

Hi Ace - what resource do you use that includes UKPL h2h results? Places I use dont include that but it would be useful to know those, I feel!
Wow, Maia beat Katie 1-6 7-5 10-4. It was 1-6 1-3 when I last saw, so just assumed it was heading in one direction. I don't think there are any sites that have a point / game breakdown, Sofascore doesn't, and you can't replay BT Sport (unlike say YouTube), so no idea when the comeback started, but that surprised me when I checked.
Marni also through to the SF, beating Eleonor 6-2 6-4. Guaranteed to be a weekly winner representing GB on the women's side for the first time this year.
