Abbie Brooks beats the Spanish top seed !

The seed 1 is from St Kitts & Nevis not Spain. Some players are benefitting from the extended ranking season.
the shadow rankings which come out 13th December switch back to the 52 week rolling period. She would have been seeded 5th and with many points being doubles.  Still a very good win from Amelie!

Thanks for that, TennisDad - interesting table

Yes that includes the 2003 girls too. So the new year will look quite different again.

Will the real 13th Dec rankings replicate the shadow ones ? For example Ranah Stoiber would be ahead of Matilda in British terms and our number one?

do you have a boys equivalent by any chance ?

These rankings will become the real rankings on 13th December.

Here Is the boys

Thank you for that, really interesting. Matilda losing top spot to Ranah at this Stage is very interesting to see!

And Oliver Hague joins the QF list with a great win over the Dutch 3rd seed.

Last 8 looks like:

Oliver Hague v Zian vanderstappen (BEL)
Freddie Murray (IRE) (6) v Luca Pow (4)
Phoenic Weir (5) v Billy Blaydes

Pleased to see Daniela get a good win over Flora. Mimi will be a hard ask, she's a bit of a star, but great to see so many young players doing well (Ruby too).

Abby K and Given got an excellent win in the doubles over Ella and Isabelle Lacy

Daniela and Amalia (as wildcards) also got a win

In the boys, Oli Hague's win was obviously the standout, as Jon says, in the third-set TB, over the third seed.

Henry Searle (2006) has also been having an excellent month or so.

No wildcards in the boys' dubs - slightly strange....

Girls QF matches played:

Ella beat Nishino 6-2 7-5
Issabelle Lacy beat Ruby Cooling 4 and 3
Mimi beat Danielle Piani 4 and 3
Talia beat the 2nd seeded Aussie 4 and 2!!!

So semis will be

Ella McDonald versus Issy Lacy
Mimi Xu versus Talia Neilson-Gatenby

Talia was 5th seed, so there's not much difference between her and the 2nd.

In fact, she's higher ranked than the 2nd seed now, so she should have won, the result followed the rankings.

Impressed by the scores of Ruby and Daniela.

So we've got two 2005-born girls, one 2006, and one 2007 - for the last 4 spots in a J3, that's big points. And good that it's not the older contingent.

In the boys, no result from Matt Rankin and Freddie Blaydes, but others are in:

Matt Rankin v Freddie Blaydes
vanderstappen beat Oli Hague 4 and 1
Luca Pow beat Freddie Murray 1 and 2
Billy Blaydes w/o Phoenix Weir

SO semis are

Matt/Freddie v Vanderstappen
Luca v Billy

ah, ok. I took it on face value!

Who would you expect to win the semis, CD?

Ella McDonald versus Issy Lacy
Mimi Xu versus Talia Neilson-Gatenby

Issy and Mimi?

In the boys, the Belgian qualifier has rather impressively (and annoyingly) made the semis.

Where he'll play Matt Rankin

The other semi will be Luca v Billy Blaydes

(Phoenix Weir gave a walkover)

Boys dubs:

The Blaydes Bros are going strong - into the semis against a French pair

In the other one, Hugo Coquelin and Henry Searle play Luca Pow and a Dutch boy.

(Henry, Billy and Luca are still in both singles and dubs)

Girls dubs:

Sad for youngsters Amalia and Daniela who lost their match 8-10 in the MTB against the second seeds, from SVK/SKN who now play Abby K & Given in the semi

Other semi is Talia & Mimi (who are both still in the singles too) v Issey P and Aussie girl.
