To be quite honest, I'm not sure there is one....

Firstly, I like her name biggrin

Also, she's only 2007 (I know several others are too)

She's quite tall.

She was runner-up in the doubles last week (although that might have been 90% due to Abby Kelliher, of course, who is also 2007 and going great guns at the moment).

She won all her quali matches here barely losing a couple of games...

I don't know ..... I'm probably making it up - it just seems an interesting profile.....

(NB I note now that she had to retire in R1, which is a real shame, hope she's OK)

Monday's points of interest:

Ben Gusic Wan lost easily today to a player ranked about 3000.

The other top U14, Joseph Mazzingham, also lost.

Both Blaydes lads won, so that'll be a happy home tonight.

Last week's winner came through without too much trouble.

Mason Dace put out the 7th seed

Henry Searle beat Fabio Nestola, seeded 6

Our boys did a good job in eliminating the foreign challenge - 16 players left in - and only one 'pesky' amongst them (last week's winner)

Monday's point of interest for the girls:

Young Abby Kelliher (2007) continues to impress (following very good performances earlier this year in Loughborough and Edinburgh)

Adeola Greatorex did well to beat the French girl who made the semis last week, and in a clutch third-set TB that went to 17-15 !!!

Not such a good job by our girls against the foreign challenge though.

Five foreign players still in the last 16.

Talia and Isabelle Lacy must be the clear favourites, as their rankings, and recent form would confirm

Definitely a tougher week with more highly rated players from home and overseas in the draw. In the boys and girls, with talia beating last weeks winner 1&1 first round today.

Yes Daniela joined the Loughborough academy this year, think she came from the same tennis academy as Abby Kelliher prior to joining.

Yes I would think a fair few of the GB players would Matt rankin, Louis bowden, Phoenix, Luca, will Jansen amongst others and girls Mimi, Ella, talia, Isabelle Lacey. Some of the higher ranked will be over in the US doing the JA I would think such as Eva Shaw.

Thanks. I'd noticed that they played dubs together, obviously, so it makes sense now.

Ruby Cooling is another 2007 name that I'm following from afar.

NB We've now got twenty 2007-ers girls with ITF rankings, (and three 2008-ers) which is great and largely due to the home events this year (and Johnson's flight restrictions so no one else came)

In the boys, however, we only have five 2007-ers and zero 2008-ers.

Kyle Hughes took out our U16 national champion, third seed, Hugo Coquelin, 6-1 6-3

Jonah Gethin defeated 7th seed, Oliver Hague.

Alaia Perez beat third seed, Issey Purser, in two sets.

Giulia Lesa def. 7th seed from Denmark

And the star performance goes to young Abby Kelliher who beat the fourth seed, from Japan, for the second week on the trot (although with a lot more trouble this time)
