Great play from our Brit men with Jake, Finn and Max all through to the next round. Tough draw for Angelica who crashed out in the 3rd set losing 2-6.
Doubles action - wins for Finn +1 and Lui+1. On the womens side wins for Sally +1 and the Delaware pair coached by Elise. Out go Erin +1, Charlotte +1 and Nell + Amelia . I couldnt see Alicia in the draw.
The girls competed hard against a strong Iowa State team today and were able to step up in the big moments," assistant coach Elise van Heuvelen Treadwell said. "I'm very proud of the fight and energy today and the way they handled themselves on the court. Another good opportunity to compete again tomorrow."
Kyran Magimay and Yujiro Onuma have committed to Notre Dame and Dartmouth respectively
Thanks Mazzy and welcome to the chat, great to have some new posters
When the list of 2023 commits gets is a bit bigger someone normally starts a new thread, initially just for the new signings, then Fall 2023 that becomes the main thread for 2023/24 signings and general chat. At least thats my understanding
Brit women go into the same half of the dubs consolation draw later today, so it's Charlotte+1 v Erin +1. The winners of this one could go go through to meet Nell & Amelia in the semis if all goes well
Sally Pethybridge & partner (Iva Zelic, a Croatian Senior at Portland), go out to the number 1 seeds in their 2nd round match at the ITA Fall Nationals

Firsty nice to see so many posts on the college signings and chats and a few newcomers. if you are a watcher (I was for a year or so, as took me a while to be brave enough to post) please join in the chat. I know nothing of the freshers and pre- freshers and not much about the womens side so fantastic to have more knowledgeable posters
Yes, well done to the men!!
Fearnley advanced in the singles bracket while Jong and Maxted are one of eight doubles pairings still playing. With the results, TCU is one of just two programs with multiple athletes still competing in the main singles and doubles draws.
Bass was knocked out of the singles bracket on Thursday after his 6-1, 6-2, loss to the No. 2 ITA preseason newcomer, Nishesh Basavareddy, in the round of 16. WHAT'S NEXT No. 14 Finn Bass and Juan Pablo Grassi Mazzuchi square off against Penn's No. 20 Edoardo Graziani and Kevin Zhu, fresh off their upset of the first-seeded team from Texas.
Delaware womens doubles I know theyre not Brits, but a shout out to coach Elise who is, and the Delaware womens doubles pair who are making program history. Go Elise, Go Hens!!!
Another solid and tough performance today by Adel and Eliza," assistant coach Elise van Heuvelen Treadwell said. "I am pleased with the progress they are making daily and how they are both handling the changes in these matches. It's great to see both of them growing and learning together, and continuing to fight for the Blue & Gold."
Brit women go into the same half of the dubs consolation draw later today, so it's Charlotte+1 v Erin +1. The winners of this one could go go through to meet Nell & Amelia in the semis if all goes well
Charlotte is the last Brit woman standing now in the fall nationals - into the quarters of thee consolation dubs
success in the doubles as Bass +1 (Baylor) defeated Edoardo Graziani and Kevin Zhu from Penn, 6-4, 1-6, 1-0(5) to advance to the semifinal round.
Maxted +1 (TCU) defeated Virginia Tech's Ryan Fishback and Alberto Orso, 6-7, 6-2, [10-5], in the quarterfinals of the main doubles draw on Friday at the Barnes Tennis Center. advance to the doubles semis
Would be fantastic if the Bears and the Frogs met in the finals!! Go Lui and go Finn
ITA doubles final wont be a double Brit affair as Finn Bass +1 go down fighting in the tiebreaker, whilst Lui Maxted +1 punch their ticket to the finals. Can they become the first pair of Horned Frogs to capture a fall national title?
On the mens side of play, two of the top four seeds will be battling it out as well, with Alexander Jong and Lui Maxted [3] (TCU) set to take on Andrew Lutschaunig and JJ Tracy [4] (Ohio State) in the Championship Match.
Jong and Maxted fought off a difficult test from Berk Bugarikj and Patrik Trhac (Utah) in yesterdays Semifinal match to earn their spot in the Championship, while becoming the first Horned Frogs team to reach the Finals at the National Fall Championships.

Actively monitoring the number of current college players in the top 500 ATP rankings. Wish I knew what the record was but wow do we have potential to have quite a list.
