The girls in Togo have picked up where they left off last week, with R1 wins for both Jade (0 & 1) and Flora (0 & 0).

And a win for the pair of them in the dubs (0 & 0)

So that's GBR 36, Togo 1  biggrinno

AND this week it's a J4, instead of a J5, so it's even better smile

 

In France, J5, Georgine Hays lost in R1 to the 5th seed, and lost in dubs too (despite having won the title last week, albeit with a different partner)

Croatia, J3: Phoenix Weir won R1. Kyle Hughes lost. Together they won their R1 doubles.

Bosnia & H, J4: Tia Bonita Jakupovic-Kljako lost in R1 but got a win in R1 doubles

USA, J4: Gabriella Rawles lost in R1, but also got a win in R1 doubles.

Mexico, J3: Wil Jenkins lost in R1 (and hasn't played his dubs yet)

Togo, J4:

Jade lost to the top seed, 7-6(2) 6-0

But Flora won with another bakery display, 1 & 0

The organisers have also raced through the doubles - our girls won their QF but lost out in the semis


Croatia, J3: Phoenix Weir lost 5-7 in the third set, against the 4th seed, in R2, which is a real shame

With Kyle, though, they're into the dubs semis


Bosnia & H, J4: Tia Bonita Jakupovic-Kljako lost her next dubs match.

As did Wil Jenkins+ in Mexico.

USA, J4: Gabriella Rawles+ won their next round in dubs but lost in the QFs

Flora won her QF very easily in Togo, J5.

And will now play the 2nd seed girl who she beat in the final last week.


The boys lost their SF dubs in Dubrovnik, J3

Togo, J4:

In her semi, Flora beat the girl she beat last week in the final, in three sets this time.

She'll play Zhao, the top seed, from China this time (who didn't play last week)

In the Tennis Europe category 2 event last week in Spain, congrats to Murray Watters who took the boys 12U title.

And Arabella Loftus who won the 14U title.

very close for Flora. Good to see GB players doing well but will Interested to see how she fares when she does the UK events as her points have all come from Africa, whereas in the 3 events she did this year in the UK she didnt get past the second round. She may need a stronger challenge now outside of Africa, possibly doing some of the stronger European events.
