Montenegro, J5:

Vlada Kozak won her R1 match.

France, J5:

Georgina Hays beat the 7th seed in R1

(The young Scarlette Hetherington, born 2008, who's made quite a few waves, is also playing - she plays for France but has strong UK connections)

Jayson Mbogyro is playing in Dom. Rep., J4

Allegra K Davies is in Spain, J5

The only Scarlett I can remember is Scarlett Huthcinson (Holly's sister) who plays college tennis for Fairfield.

Yes, this Scarlette (Hetherington) is a bit of a red herring, i.e. she's French, and has always played for France (and she's only 13, I think, so no one will really have heard of her yet, unless they follow the tiddlers).

But she is what the French sites say 'French by adoption'. I've looked to see if her family are Australian, American etc and I can't find a definitive answer but I'm pretty sure her family are British (or at least her dad). So I was just pointing it out (like Evan Furness) as someone who, just might possibly, figure in the British interest in years to come.

Allegra K Davies lost her QF in Spain but she's only a 2007-er, so it's been a very good week, her first QF.

With shortened sets, in Montenegro, J5, Vlada Kozak won her R2 match and is one set all in the next round, but it seems to have been suspended again.

Sweden, J4: Viktor Frydrych+ lost in QF of dubs

Just to add that the Azores Open Tennis Europe U12 Category 1 event took place in the days leading up to the final on 3rd October

And GB walked it in style

Congrats to winners:

Mark Ceban & Edie Griffiths who took the boys and girls singles titles respectively

and Hollie Smart who was runner-up in the girls.

As well as Mark and Antonin Kotak who took the boys dubs title.

and Edie and Hollie who took the girls dubs.

PS People may remember from earlier this year that Mark and Hollie are the GB National Champions (with Edie being runner-up that time, although only just)

The other category 1 U12 event took place in Bressuire, where Murray Watters won the boys doubles.
