Non-GB but this week saw the Junior Davis Cup and the Junior Billie-Jean King Cup.

In the boys, the Davis Cup champions are Russia, who beat France.

In the girls, the champions are Czech Republic, winning over Japan

Thanks - I had forgotten the finals were on last week, with the non-involvement of GB.  I see the Czech Republic fielded both the top ranked 2006 (Nikola Bartunkova) and 2007 (Brenda Fruhvirtova). Russia has been one of the strongest nations for girls for a long time, but they are also becoming increasingly dominant in the boys.  They also won the World Juniors under 14s in August  Report on the girls here, and the boys here
