Lucia Cassidy (age 14) lost out narrowly in R2, in both singles and dubs
NB On one website, Lucia claims she's having to move to France for training because the LTA provide zero support for her - but that she will have problems because of the 90 days in 180 days rule post Brexit? - it's a good question - getting a student visa isn't too hard, I believe, but as she's a minor, I don't know if it's the same visa thingy - and I know that the schools/academies have NZ players, US players etc, so I would have thought it would work out somehow...... but who knows...... she may be right....

Sarah Tatu won her R3 match with bakery products and is into the QFs
She's also won two rounds of dubs and is into the QFs there too.
This is her best tournament ever by far - she's only made the QFs of a J5 before.
Portugal has been hosting the last Super Category TE U14 event of 2021 this week. The British entry was not as strong as in Tarbes, but a mention for Allegra Korpanec Davies, who upset the 5th seed to reach the quarters. She was well beaten today though by the 4th seed Dora Miskovic. There is some overlap with the Les Petits As field, including second seed Eva Ionesco, who we saw beaten by Hannah Klugman, as 6th seed last Friday.
