Thats the one I was most worried about done. Well done Jodie.

The match before Harriet's has ended with a retirement so she'll be on shortly

Yay 5/5 - Jodie wins 6-4 6-1

Just Harriet to go now - if she could get through too, it would be a pretty remarkable qualifying round. A long time, if ever, getting 6 through!

i cant imagine there has been many instances where we have had 5 either smile, but c,'mon Harriet, let's make it 6 out of 6!

It was a super draw overall though on bet365 Sam and Jodie were still underdogs and indeed if you combined the chances of all 6 our expected number through in total was 4.

Odds on all 6 through, even with the draw, were about 13/1. You won't get that now

Delighted for Jodie. We do give her a hard time on here but it's not without merit and because we believe in what she is capable of. She did the right thing today, moved the ball around nicely, went big into the spaces, stayed calm. A lot of the match was on Montgomery's racket, as Indiana mentioned she was up in most games but would then leak errors (some really atrocious) and Jodie did the right thing not going for too much. A few silly errors from her and the first set would have disapleared (as in the early stages the American looked white comfortable).

She should be proud of that one.

I think Stearns is pretty decent and she's showing some quality here, although Harriet making a lot of errors. She's just got one break back in the second

*2-4

Into a third. She's just not doing anything with the ball today. Not the level we've seen in her last couple of events.

6-3 4-6 *0-0
