Harriet broken immediately. Stefanini has only really moved up the rankings this year, haven't seen her play before. Harriet gets the break back *1-2

Katie breaks at the start of the second but has just seen *40-0 slip to deuce. *1-0

Main draw is out - some challenging Q-spots, and some reasonable ones.

Jo gets Mladenovic and Heather gets Juvan, and both in reasonable sections.

Jodie sends a very tired looking backhand into the net, and is broken shortly after. You can hear the exhaustion on every grunt. Slumps back to the chair. 4-3*

Not sure that's exhaustion, not from just the first part of the third set, to mid-third set.

That looked more like a 'oh help, not again' face....

I didn't quite see if that way.

I thought Jodie was moving quite well, and the two clean winners were one's she'd have gone for anyhow.

Two nice deep returns, one setting up a good backhand winner the other drawing an error, give Jodie 30-0*. But Voegele stays very solid to get to 30-30, only to go fractions long on her second shot to give Jodie a match point. A netted return wastes it, and two good serves mean it's a tiebreak to decide this one. Yuk.
