Week 35 US Open Qualifying

Id say those are all favourable draws as stated elsewhere. I dont bet but I reckon someone will make it through.

I'll take your 1 and raise you 1, not sure which 2 though out of Harriet, Katie and Emma

Gosh those are worryingly good draws. Apparently Amazon Prime are covering a bunch of qualy matches? If so, that's great.

We seem to have all our players placed in 6 or 8 spot in their respective sections. Slightly uncanny. Liam is also 8th spot in his section in the mens.

Without being any sort of expert on all the potential opposition players, on the face of it that looks a heck of a generally favourable draw for the potential first couple of rounds anyway.

4 of our 6 players have drawn an American WC in QR1 ( the other 2 have the Dutch pair, Schoofs and Hogenkamp - both currently ranked outside the top 250 though have been much higher ).

0 of our 4 non seeds have drawn a seed in QR1 ( 3 have drawn a WC ) and for all of them the seed they could play in QR2 is a bottom half seed - 18, 24, 28 and 29.

So 0 of our 6 players can play a top 16 seed before the FQR, all as was pointed out being in the bottom half of their qualifying bracket.

Right enough some potential tough looking FQRs ( err Konjuh! ) if our players get that far but much water to pass under the bridge first and all that ...

It is. Players are guaranteed 11k USD, if they reach the FQR it is 32k USD according to the tournament website

Assuming she hasn't burnt herself out Emma should breeze through. Sherif won't like it, rock the casbah girl!

Schoofs is Bibiane Schoofs a Dutch player who is 33 years old and first appeared on the ITF circuit in 2003. Anne  Keothavong beat her in Luxembourg in 2011 so Anne should be able to fill Emma  in on anything she needs to know.(courtesy of tennis abstract)

I see Fran has got Elizabeth Mandlik who is Hana Mandlikova's daughter. Katie B. has beaten her recently
