We seem to have all our players placed in 6 or 8 spot in their respective sections. Slightly uncanny. Liam is also 8th spot in his section in the mens.

Without being any sort of expert on all the potential opposition players, on the face of it that looks a heck of a generally favourable draw for the potential first couple of rounds anyway.
4 of our 6 players have drawn an American WC in QR1 ( the other 2 have the Dutch pair, Schoofs and Hogenkamp - both currently ranked outside the top 250 though have been much higher ).
0 of our 4 non seeds have drawn a seed in QR1 ( 3 have drawn a WC ) and for all of them the seed they could play in QR2 is a bottom half seed - 18, 24, 28 and 29.
So 0 of our 6 players can play a top 16 seed before the FQR, all as was pointed out being in the bottom half of their qualifying bracket.
Right enough some potential tough looking FQRs ( err Konjuh! ) if our players get that far but much water to pass under the bridge first and all that ...

Whose Schoofs ?, good name. So is that 3 matches to get to the 1st round proper ?. Probably a stupid question... oops
Schoofs is Bibiane Schoofs a Dutch player who is 33 years old and first appeared on the ITF circuit in 2003. Anne Keothavong beat her in Luxembourg in 2011 so Anne should be able to fill Emma in on anything she needs to know.(courtesy of tennis abstract)
