Girls: 2021 Wimbledon (Week 27)

Millie has had lots of chances, broken her opponent 3 times and had break points in 2 other games, but loses the set 6-4.

Matilda 2-1*

BBC have a couple of the junior matches on website, but not all. They have had cameras on all courts up till now, so not sure why some are showing and not others.

Millie let the first set slip and was difficult after that.

She lost 4-6 4-6

Shame for Mimi with that draw, she could have won a couple of rounds no doubt.

 Absolutely !

Hope she gets a play in the doubles (she and Hep won the U16 nationals together)

AND at least she can look at this week as the one where she went up 1733 (!!!) places, to 740 (and being born 2007, is one of the best ranked for her age now)

She does. She's playing with Kylie.
Hep is with Hannah.
Eva with Ranah but they draw the 2nd seeds
Jess Dawson with Alicia D draw the top seeds
Matilda with Millie is the only direct entry

Alicia had two set points at *5-1 but ended up in a tiebreaker. The first seven points went against serve, Alicia eventually getting a third set point at *6-5, a fourth at 7-6*, four more at *8-7, 9-8*, *10-9 and 11-10*...

Finally!

Jeezo, that was tense. Alicia leads 7-6(10) 0-0*

Alicia up 5-1 in the second set as well, so lets hope there are no more hernia-inducing struggles to get over the line

Well she tried the hernia route - 5 match points - but took the fifth to win 7-6(10) 6-1 smile
