2021 GB Player of the Month Thread Jul to Dec

Once this weekends poll is done, here is the schedule for rest of the season

September PoM - Sunday 3rd October
October PoM - Sunday 31st October
November/December PoM - Sunday 12th December (this vote will cover both months due to lack of events over the full period, ATP/WTA drawing to closes in early November period.

Player of Season Votes - Running up to Sunday 19th December.

September covers 5 weeks and has the US Open, Paralympics as the main big events.

October brings in Indian Wells at the top level.

November and December will include the Tour Finals , although we would most likely just have Joe in doubles in that, plus Davis Cup.

Player of season will be interesting , reckon we will be looking at maybe 20-24 entries compared to 32 last year but it will clearly be very competitive as lots of interesting stories so far and lots to play out as well.

I was tempted to nominate Jordanne Whiley for getting bronze medal in Paralympics but with womens doubles still to come and US Open next week, felt like it might be premature?

Im very tempted to nominate Jordanne Whiley and Gordon Reid.

Jordanne - get a singles bronze, being seeded 4, and a doubles silver , seeded 2.

Gordon - got a singles bronze, seeded 5, and a doubles silver , but seeded 1.

it feels like both maybe surpassed expectations, just, but there are two other big events, US Open next week and World Team Cup to come so Ill hold back and see what happens. Or if others come through.

if anyone feels they want to nominate now though, I wont disagree !
