Katie takes the second 6-3. Great serving. Lao's game is so perfect for grass, have to be honest I really underestimated the challenge she would pose. The qualifier was struggling to maintain the depth on the slice which was causing Katie so much difficulty, but our girl needs to stay composed and start the third strong.

It's quite emotional watching her wee Grandad in the crowd willing her on!!

Poxy toilet breaks, time to allow the other player to have physio or some other benefit, might make players think about how badly they need to leave the court

Oh Katie. Several break points go begging and a couple were a bit of a waste. Hope she doesn't regret that, especially the second serve return at 40-30*
