Watching Emma, you'd say she should have played qualis.

I agree. She has not been playing enough tennis.

What was that you were saying?

Losing a set 0-6 after losing the first set in a tiebreak is very u14 level

 Absolutely.

Although D only made the tb in the first place because Emma started off so overly hyped

Yes, not good from  D but I agree CD, very clearly a lot of the big divergence in scores was down to Emma and how she settled as the match progressed, and also pulled out some tight games. That and then the very long game at 3-0* in the second set effectively settled it all rather than D losing the first set TB and just going away then.

I reckon Court 2 would be good for Emma for R2. Don't put her on Centre or 1.

Shame for Katie Boulter as she played well for most of the match, yet a few horrible shots at crucial times, cost her, against an opponent who served brilliantly in the 2nd and 3rd sets.

Emma Raducanu was delightful. An exhausting first set to watch, so many long games. Diatchenko wasn't great in the 2nd set. Surprised she kept attempting drop shots given inability to land them in the court.

What will this do for Emma's ranking? Obviously it will go up but how high is the question wink
