Emma making a bit of a hash of her two service games which she should have held and paying for it. Some good tennis already from her though. Needs to just reign it in a little.

1-3*

Katie into a third. Had a game point in the game she was broken in but her level has been pretty consistent. Sabalenka the more up and down who will decide this one.

Emma's had points to win 4 of the 5 games played so far. She's learning some important lessons in this set about this level of competition.

Watching Emma, you'd say she should have played qualis.

In terms of my French sports psychologist's balloon, she was completely overblown, ready to burst. It's understandable, being so young, and at wimbly.

She may well rebalance herself as the match progresses

I dont watch womens tennis much but am loving the way Katie b is playing and she seems to be really enjoying
It as well. Its a great match

One thing about Inverdale are his many comments about Sabalenka's "many faces", "ferocious looks", "you wouldn't want to mess with her" etc. Yes she is loud and animated, but the constant implications that she's scary because she's like that isn't something you'd get with the men.

Given his history (see: Bartoli) I'm not massively surprised. But surprising that he keeps getting these gigs.

Anyway, Boulter doing herself proud here.
