Looking at the live rankings sites they would seem to imply that our girls get 10 points for a first round loss, but I thought WCs didn't get those points. Does anyone know for sure which is correct?

The women WCs get R1 loss 10 points. The guys don't.

Yes, at women's tournaments the wild cards get the same points as direct entrants. The only ones that don't get the first round points are qualifiers who would only get the qualifying points.

Ahn has all sorts of elbow issues which means her serve has no power.
Heathers returning has been very poor. Katie S would have beaten both of these today
