Brilliant!!! First set she was hitting superbly, got tight several times through the 2nd but so glad she made it! She definitely was better placed for qualifying, think this will now give her the confidence going forward with the year.

I honestly think Jodie shouldve done the same.... but lets see how R1 goes for our ladies

No, if she loses in the first round she'll only get qualifying points. But if she goes further she will get main draw points PLUS the qualifying points.

Delighted for her. It's hard not to be emotional during her interview at the end after the past few years she's had. Her 'biggest accomplishment in tennis'.

I'd love to see her vs Emma or Katie B in R1, probably Emma mainly, so that we get a very interesting match, and one of them will make in into the last 64.
