Week 24 - ITF (W100+H) Nottingham , grass

Brilliant result for Emma. Hope she plays regularly now covid permitting as Im sure she could go so much higher in the rankings.
As for Jodie has the potential but another par for the course result from her.

Emma's Wimbledon qualifying next week will benefit from a run here - good win for her.

Not really surprised at this result, Naomi and Sam have SO much experience between them, but a good showing regardless

R16: Naomi Broady & Samantha Murray Sharan (GBR/GBR) WR343 (165+178) [WC] def Matilda Mutavdzic & Panna Udvardy (GBR/HUN) WR1664 (1390+274) [WC] 6-4 6-2

R16: (WC) Marie Benoit & Kylie Bilchev (BEL/GBR) UNR (WR243+0) lost to Priscilla Hon & Storm Sanders (AUS/AUS) WR988 (926+62) 5-7 3-6

Pretty impressive. Anyone know what the connection between Benoit and Kylie is - I wouldn't expect Kylie to be wandering around waving a WC saying who wants to play doubles.

Still 3 left then, Emma, naomi and Sam. Added to 4 in Birmingham and its not bad for a Thursday at wta level.

Jodie's form has slumped badly since her win in Dubai, not sure what's gone wrong.

I'd love to watch Emma's match but there's not a link from the ITF live scores site. She's on Centre Court so surely this should be streamed? Any ideas what need to do? Thanks

well done emma - babos is experienced and wiley; i remember seeing her in the final at ilkley in 2019 versus nicelsecu; she is quite a heavy build and it felt to me her movement was not too sharp; it may sound harsh and i would say it about a bloke as well, before anyone calls me out; but she was certainly a large person and didnt move well. if emma can move her around and keep things low, she should be able to do well here

Sorry. No idea. Only a few courts or rather matches are streamed on itf site and this is not one of them.
