I don't agree it's almost impossible to coach the mental side.

" It is almost impossible to coach the mental side and the players need to release their frustrations".

Had a lot of time to re-think this one before sending it.....

I seem to remember that Matt has stopped as coach for Emma Rad?

Maybe I've got that wrong ....

Is Naiktha really still coached by her dad?

I'm sure I saw David Felgate courtside during Jodie's match yesterday - not so easy to tell with mask and a brief camera shot though.

Re Mentalality, the best you can do is give a player the tools to manage it themselves, exactly the same as any other person in therapy, what they do with it is down to them. I'd probably stick Jodie in a room rewatching all the matches where she fell apart and then teach her management techniques.

I quite fancy those odds for Katie Boulter and Harriet

The other thing about therapy (or anything similar e.g bad relationship, addiction etc) is you have to ** want ** to change...

For that to happen1st the person has to recognise there is a problem, hence putting her in a room to rewatch her matches

Fran breaks back, *4-4. Any way (for those in the UK) to watch this, other than betting sites? I guess the LTA's YouTube never really took off?

I thought Fran had lost the first set for some reason, but upon checking the score again, she is now leading 6-4 *2-2, with a game point here.

Fran was twice broken from game point up, eventually losing it 6-3.

Up *2-1 in the third.

Fran lost the second 3-6.

With Garcia's height, she's quite formidable on grass - I've seen her at Surbiton.

But in the third, she's (Garica) now having a long MTO. For neck and shoulder problems, it seems.

And Fran loses her break advantage and now in danger at *3-4
