Huge congrats to 12 year-old Hannah Klugman won the British Tour event this week !

(The fact that Kat Barnes retired at 2-6 2-5 down sounds far more like a face-saving exercise than anything else, but hope she's OK).

Great week for Hannah

And well done to Mike Shaw too, who won the men's final.

The results on the LTA tournament website say Kat was disqualified, and didn't retire. (I must watch the video, haen't had time yet).

6-3 5-2 disqualified

Didn't look like she got disqualified. Is it possible she had the score wrong?

It was difficult to tell - the sound was very quiet.

But you could just hear Katie Barnes saying 'I don't want to play' and then she seems to march up to the net with her racket extended (to touch rackets).

It doesn't look like she was disqualified. I think someone tapped the wrong button on the gizmo (though might be wrong)

She wasnt disqualified at the time, initially the tournament results said 6-3 5-2 retired. At some point after the match it was changed to 6-3 5-2 disqualified. I suspect either something was said, or the referee realised what had been going on and decided to change to disqualified. I suppose it is some sort of punishment as no lta ranking points from reaching final and no prize money if disqualified?

Impressive result! Can't even play ITF juniors till next year if I'm not mistaken.

Draw for Connaught is done, starts Thursday, main draw only. Top 4 seeds in womens are Emma Raducanu, Grace Piper, Nadia Rawson and Katherine Barnes. Will post link in a minute, so can also see mens draw on that.

I see Emma could play Katherine Barnes in the last 4 , if seedings hold up.

British Tour Level 2 event at the Connaught Club.

In the semis today, Emma Raducanu will meet Katie Barnes or Alicia Dudeney. However, that'll presumably be 4 game sets too, as they've got three matches to do in a day (Emma won her QF by a walkover)

The other QFs have: Jizel v Nadia Rawson and Grace Piper v Sofia Johnson

I'm sure the grass will be excellent as usual. But the wind and rain could well prevent play - the clubhouse is 200m from the seafront, and the courts are closer !

Seems like they played indoors. Nadia posted on instagram - match finished at 00:06 am ! There are four outdoor hard courts and two indoor.

No idoor courts at Felixstowe, so fingers crossed for next week

Well, it was real blowing a real hooley here yesterday in London so not surprised they were confined to indoors......

Marginally better today but hardly great.

Gone midnight? Wow, that's late....
