SC reports that she thinks her health may have turned a corner but it's too early to be sure, so relatively good news.

She'll have the Brits' AO draws to wake up to on her phone too (albeit only the singles draws)

Hi Steven - just wondering if youd heard anything further re SC?

I swapped a couple of messages with Steven last night. He is still in contact with SC who's health is slowly improving. Steven mentioned he might come on here at some stage with an update so I will leave it to him to say any more.

Just wondered if we know anything more about SCs health - hopefully she is still improving?

I saw SC had been active on the forum, just looking, a few weeks back. Hoping she will make it back eventually to post.

Banned from the gym for 10 days. Fell off my bike earlier in the week and X-ray now confirmed that I have cracked a bone in my hand. Very frustrating. So close to hitting my exercise targets and just 3 weeks to go.

Ouch !

However, that's a nice boxer's injury - could you make up some cool story about taking out some bad guy?

(Can you do aerobic exercise? Brisk walking?)

Hehe.  Sure I can make up something impressive LOL.

Now working on  schedule to push the cycling and walking over the next 10 day so the point where I have just about hit those end of year targets, and then I can spend more time finishing the gym work in the last week or so - assuming recovery goes to plan.

Plan not aided by the fact that I have had an abscess on my back too, which they have sliced open and drained this morning.  Won't stop me walking etc, but I'm not allowed to shower afterwards.  Steer clear of Bob for the next few days. The aroma might be a bit ripe.

Thanks Jan.  These things are sent to try us, aren't they.

Best wishes Bob. I'm sure you didn't mean to take a break the wrong way.

Best wishes Bob, hope you make a speedy recovery!

I am also reduced to walking and cycling as tore my Achilles a few months ago and physio advised no tennis or running until at least June hmm

Exactly two weeks to go in my year long health/exercise/weight loss challenge and my distance and gym rep goals are all in sight.

The motivation is still good and my mind is telling me to really push the training hard over these last two weeks. But the body is telling me I might just crawl over the line in the next 14 days, if I'm lucky. I am looking forward to some rest.

It's done. My challenge is complete.

Exactly a year ago today on my 59th birthday, I was 128.0 kg (or 20st 2lbs in old money). But after:

6,168.2km on the bike
2,509.2km on foot
251,200 gym reps

I have clocked in this morning at 92.8kg (or 14st 8lbs). That's a loss of 35.2kg (or 5st 8lbs).

So if you will all forgive this rather self-indulgent post, I am feeling quite proud of myself this morning.

Happy 60th birthday to me.
