Bad luck draw for Lloyd no chance of beating a world class player like that.

I'll be interested to see the betting odds for this match in which I believe they have partners. I'll update on any apparent big opportunity for anyone regarding it as a no contest.

Bet 365 have it strongly in Lloyd and Harri favour. 11/4 for the Brothers and 1/4 for Lloyd and Harri.

 Pile on, Jaggy !

Well, I expect Lloyd and Hari have thought of the 'hit it to Petros' tactic.

If they haven't, HIT IT TO PETROS !

There you go, lads, no charge.....

However, I'm slightly with Jaggy here and often make a little bit on the side from singles players being underrated in doubles matches.

So, at 3.75, I'm having a 10p flutter on the Greek bros.

Oh I was thinking there might just be value there and was considering following you CD, but that's a rather different matter. And there is still the fact that Petros has not much of a singles or doubles record and Lloyd+ could follow your tactical advice!

L16:  (2) Luke Bambridge & Dominic Inglot CR 113 (58+55) defeated Benjamin Bonzi & Antoine Hoang (FRA/FRA) CR 334 (171+163) by 7-6(4) 6-7(5) [10-8]

I thought they were going to blow it after they threw away a 4-0* lead in that second set tie-break & then a 9-5* lead in the MTB!

Phew that was closer than I would have liked, glad Luke and Dom got the win.

One of the top 3 pairs (or Lloyd and Helio) surely need to be looking at the title this week - all of them can't do it, but we need them to at least get to the QF stage and get the numbers through

Ken and Neal are a set and 3-2 up, serving, in their opener. Looking good at this stage, famous last words no doubt. But would be good to see a second pair head through

Nice and easy, 3 and 3.

Two pairs through from 4 (sort of) now.

After a tight first set, 7-6, Jonny and Aisam have moved clear in set 2 and opened up a 4-0 lead. Hopefully will get home comfortably.

Cam up next

Dom and Luke, of course, played Monday. They wont get to play a 2nd match til Thursday - doubles at these events sure is a slow build. Maybe they should start doubles on the Wednesday only in these events , not many players are in both, presumably it could save costs for everyone (hotels etc) and make the doubles event more seamless?

and that is 3 out of 3 for the Brits so far. Lloyd and Helio go later, probably the most interesting match in this first round v Bros Tsitsipas
