If threads finished when all British players lost there wouldn't be a GS thread open past the second round of the tournament as was not the last British player to do that Henners? Anyone who wishes to chime in Andy I can personally forward them the names and phone numbers of the guys who actually trained hin

Oh dear. It's very sad that this horrible argument has developed. Most of us come on here to chat about British tennis (as per the name of the forum) with like-minded individuals, to bemoan the failings and shortcomings and celebrate the occasional success. If someone wants to chat about non British tennis that's fine. We are all interested in their opinions. But when someone starts accusing our members of being insulting and disrespectful just because no-one chose to comment on a non British player that changes the whole ethos of the forum. For me coming here is an escape from all the arguments and vitriol on twitter etc and I really don't want to have to plough through the dross on this thread. Sorry but if this is the level we have sunk to I may have take a break

For my part , I apologise and agree with SuperT. I was just playing a little, sorry for stoking the fire.

Quiet Sunday.

Please, no one leave the board, no need for that.

Thank you Jon,

All I offer on this board is my part, Jon I've spoken with you quite personally and you know a little bit more about my background. I offer opinions and insights into the tennis world
from many years of experience at the highest level, which (I'm modestly guessing) most of you wouldn't be able to come across on a consistent basis and probably not in the UK, which may or may not be useful towards each person and their tennis lives. Not sure why such a reason someone/everyone seems to want to belittle and rubbish this knowledge every single time, maybe as its not "British" knowledge and we as British people much like the LTA are unable to accept not "being right/having a point" either way I'm sure its not worth leaving about etc etc

Who cares?  If Evo somehow reaches the final in Doha & faces him, then I'll care - & hope against hope that the Russky isn't still wearing that nauseous, tasteless Nike shirt!

That is very true ! Actually Dan has dropped down to 25th or similar, which shows how much the AO dominates at this stage.

in doubles, both jamie and joe are in top 8 however.

Can I just complain that hardly anyone talks about Manchester City in the Leeds thread?

I enjoy hearing about non GB players - seems to happen more on the women's threads.
Well done to Rublev.
