Andy won 6-3 6-0 6-2 when he played Rublev the only time. Melbourne 2017. just saying.

Millman vs De Minaur.

Thank you for highlighting this BiS, this rally will surely be in the running for rally of the year!  Why don't we have a formal "Rally of the Year" competition?  It would be so easy to get sponsors and it would engage with people who don't normally have much interest in tennis.

Andy playing good. Quite a bit of chat & 1 smashed racket. 1st set 5-7. Had break points to take it to a tie break..

Andy is hitting heavy & well but reactions are just a millisecond slower & in a competitive match that won't cut it.
But it was a tight first set so here's hoping...

But that isnt bad as a result. Improvement ?

See Medvedev and Zverev are out in round one, Rublev will possibly win this

Made big progress but now need to really do it in Slams - consistent but yet to make a Slam SF.

Peak Andy would have been a terrible match up for Rublev.

Both Rublev and Khanchanov, represent the modern millennial tennis player, they just want to stand at the back of the court and bash it harder than you and win.  It is almost like, Tennis will turn into a generation of Verdasco like players.  A player with a bit of variation, and they have no idea what to do, they cannot think.
