What do you expect?  It's only an ATP 500 &, as the name would indicate, this is a discussion forum primarily for the achievements of BRITISH tennis players.

Only a ATP 500? Which had 3 top 5 guys in it, Rublev haters don't wanna see him go 6 for 6.just to be clear is it only British players? Only for British players trained elsewhere or only for foreign players who take British nationality for assistance/resources available to them?

Never lost interest, just following quietly. I like Rublev and, worth noting, he and Andy are mates and get on well.

the board basically follows players who represent britain, whatever their background.

I didn't realise that Rublev was playing for Britain. When did he change nationality ?

Oh dear, junior. "Rublev haters". Behave.

Outside Slams most of the time ( but far from all the time ) we don't generally discuss anything much about tournaments in the British men and women discussion sections after the Brits exit except when someone feels like commenting on particular players, results or some occurence. Clearly though there are no rules on the matter or particular concern as to British definition. You are quite welcome to talk about Rublev here without the other silliness.

Very disrespectful towards Rublev, but when Evans wins an exhibition tournament that no-one is really interested in pants are peed

I dont think it is at all disrespectful but there are other forums to discuss the world game , lots of them and those interested go there I think

Im interested and a final between Fucsovics as a qualifier and Rublev is interesting and Ill watch the scores unfold.

but talking about it on this forum , I dont see that as the best place to do that... sorry Junior, going to agree to disagree!

Btw, lets praise Alfie Hewett and Gordon Reid here as they play each other in the wheelchair final and partner each other in the doubles final, great success.

Junior, honestly, this has nothing to do with Rublev.

Look at the other threads - look at Montpellier - no mention of who won that - the thread stops before the SFs

Who won Cordoba?

Who won Singapore? No mention of singles in Singapore hardly at all - the thread stops at quali level

It's nothing to do with Rublev and just to do with the fact this forum basically follows GB players - there are plenty of other forums that cover the whole tennis arena

But Rublev could be an invitational British player, just as British as Alijaz Bedene, Johanna Konta, Cam Norrie...... and so forth

Sorry Junior, but I am with the others here.

It's like walking into Old Trafford and being surprised that most people want to talk about Manchester United.  wink

Not sure that will give me the entertainment of talking to the dunning kruger lot on here. British tennis needs to improve starting with its people and mentality
