Lovely to see Katie S in the final - I don't know anything about Anderson, but Liu is a very good player, so if she has beaten her, she must be decent, I guess.

The odds would likely have been influenced as the week went on, playing really well, and getting some great wins, but still, strangely enough, the only time she was actually the pre match betting favourite all week was in the final itself.

This is fantastic news! So glad to see this for Katie, she seemed to have stagnated since her 2R at Wimbledon. Hopefully this is the start of better things to come - she definitely has the game!
